Our Heavenly Father in His infinite wisdom has transferred our Comrade Louis J. Alleman to the jurisdiction of the Post Everlasting of the American Legion. We give thanks to God for this man. His life was dear to us; his name is precious in our memories. His life, his brave acts, his innocence and his courage touch our hearts. We remember him in this moment and honor and give thanks for his presence on earth.

Louis James Alleman, 76, originally of St. Amant, Louisiana passed away Friday, September 11, 2015 peacefully at his home in Bealeton, VA.

He retired from the U.S. Army as Sergeant First Class. He was stationed in many locations in the United States and also served in Viet Nam, Korea and Germany during his career.

He was a member of the Amissville United Methodist Church, where he served as president of the United Methodist Men’s Group. He enjoyed being a member of the Joyful Noise Singing Group and was a volunteer of the Friday’s Table which provided meals to people in need.

He was a member of the Remington American Legion Post 247 where he served on the Executive Committee. He was also a member of the Bealeton VFW Post 7728.

Lou was a wonderful and loving father, grandfather, husband, friend, and patriot! He had a contagious smile, a huge heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand to others.
