Post Everlasting Ceremony - Billy Plott, Jr.

Our Heavenly Father in His infinite wisdom has transferred our Comrade Billy Russell Plott, Jr to the jurisdiction of the Post Everlasting of the American Legion. We give thanks to God for this man. His life was dear to us; his name is precious in our memories. His life, his brave acts, his innocence and his courage touch our hearts. We remember him in this moment and honor and give thanks for his presence on earth.
Billy Russell Plott, Jr., age 78, a resident of Warrenton passed away at his home after a long illness on October 25, 2015. He was a retired Electrician and a Realtor with Long and Foster in Warrenton . Mr. Plott honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy as a Radarman 2 from 1954-1962 and was proud to serve aboard the Naval ship that recovered the unmanned NASA capsule in 1959. He was a member of American Legion Remmington Post 247, the Warrenton Moose Lodge, and past Exulted Ruler of the Warrenton- Culpeper Elks Lodge #2737 and very active in his church, Wesleyan United Methodist Church.
The post was honored to have Virginia State Senator Jill Holtzman Vogel as our guest as we recognized Billy Plott for his service.
